We benefit from great support from Strathclyde Police and every meeting is attended by local community police officers. We try to remember that the officers are there to provide answers relating to general community concerns and to advise us on local initiatives and problems. Officers are always available outwith the meeting to discuss particular issues.
Local government has a big part to play in our local area, from litter collection to parking tickets, from street lighting to education. The Community Council gives you a chance to have a bigger say on things that impact on your everyday life. Every meeting is attended by local councillors from Glasgow City Council. Too often we forget that as citizens it's OUR Council and we can and should influence how they act and the quality of the services they provide.
