Minutes of our Meetings
Shawlands and Strathbungo Community Council is committed to being an open and accountable public body.  Our monthly meetings are open to all members of the public regardless of whether they live, work or visit the Shawlands and Strathbungo area.

As a voluntary body it should be understood that the minutes of our meetings are intended to reflect the general discussion held and properly and accurately reflect decisions made.  Our minutes are not verbatim transcripts and therefore do not record every statement or comment made.  Should you be attending a meeting and wish to have a comment recorded in the minutes your comment must be made through the Chair of the meeting and you should indicate that you wish your comment minuted.

Only elected Community Councillors are permitted to vote when a formal vote is required however we do want our meetings to be as inclusive as possible.  Whilst we wish to ensure that our meetings are efficient we do try and endeavour to be open and friendly and any person attending a meeting is always welcome to speak.

Agenda
At each meeting we try and work to a set agenda to ensure that issues are properly addressed. If there is something specific that you want to raise at a meeting you may want to contact us in advance so that we can gather any information that may be available.  For example, if there is a specific planning application that you and your neighbours are concerned about then with some advance notice we can obtain full details of the application.
